Thanksgiving Is A Word of Action

Thank God for dirty dishes; They have a tale to tell.
While others may go hungry, We're eating very well.
With home, health, and happiness, I shouldn't want to fuss;
By the stack of evidence, God's been very good to us.

I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. Whether you are in the States and celebrate Thanksgiving or not, it is a wonderful time to take a moment and give thanks to God for the many blessings that he has provided.  Sometimes our lives get hard.  It's tough to see the good things.  But, there is ALWAYS something that you can be thankful for.

Today I am thankful for so many things.  Some of these things I often take for granted, such as my health.  I'm thankful for my wonderful family, immediate and extended.  I'm thankful for the precious healthy granddaughter that He brought into my life.  I'm thankful for my job, my home, my transportation, my husband of 22 years, my boys (who will be out of the house much too soon...one already is), and so much more. I'm thankful to our soldiers who have fought, who have died, and who are spending their Thanksgiving away from their families today to protect this country that I love.

And last, but CERTAINLY not least, I'm thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for dying on the cross and rising to go prepare a place for me so that I may be with him in Heaven one glorious day.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone!

May your dressing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!
