Several of you have given me some great ideas, like having a live wreath. As for the boys doing all the work...I don't think that will happen! I'll post on the final decision tomorrow night.Sandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13533117044204331680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799664641889153370.post-17064325148615285802008-12-05T21:35:00.000-06:002008-12-05T21:35:00.000-06:00I think it depends on who's going to do the wo...I think it depends on who's going to do the work. If your sons agree to full participation in set up & clean up as well as shopping for addional lights, I say go real. If the bulk of the work would fall on you, I would go artificial.jilceehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15968902987080033990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799664641889153370.post-85089016482629490522008-12-01T22:51:00.000-06:002008-12-01T22:51:00.000-06:00I haven't put it up yet. I'll post again afterward, just to let you all know for sure.Sandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13533117044204331680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799664641889153370.post-12342656871465778092008-11-30T18:10:00.000-06:002008-11-30T18:10:00.000-06:00Hey, make a deal with the boys...real tree if YOU ...Hey, make a deal with the boys...real tree if YOU take care of it all. If they don't agree....bring out the fake one. I have several fakes I put out each year. I did use a real one once and then planted it in my yard.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799664641889153370.post-3878207085904719022008-11-29T11:12:00.000-06:002008-11-29T11:12:00.000-06:00Such great ideas! I love my artificial trees. I like your idea of getting a small real tree from the woods. You could put it on your back deck or out in the yard and decorate it for the birds, with peanut butter and bird seed ornaments. Or you could put a really small on on your dining room table and put a few special ornaments on it (or homemade ornaments you do this year). It would be pretty center piece, it would keep the needles out of the carpet, and give you that smell your looking for. Let us know what you decide.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799664641889153370.post-63321887244326598172008-11-29T09:29:00.000-06:002008-11-29T09:29:00.000-06:00Well, I don't know if I'll be much help. I finally...Well, I don't know if I'll be much help. I finally won the artificial tree battle two years ago for all the reasons you said.

My kids are young and I'm kinda bossy, so my answer to mine is "you can have a real tree in your own house." ;) In your situation, I might think differently though.

My hubby loves real trees too, but mostly because of the smell. We've talked about getting him a small real tree for his office. This year I might put up some real greenery elsewhere just for the scent.

I don't know if that' helpful or not, but there you go. :)Stephanie Wetzelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09856446767908308441noreply@blogger.com
